Freedom of Speech (Just watch what you say)

I guess this all started here. And here. And here. And here.
EDIT: and everything ends here.
Yup. That's right. 3 or more people decided to devote 4 posts over 2 blogs to bashing teenage boys (newsflash: most of us do what you did every day, but we find better things to post about). The funny thing is, they didn't really outwit him. They just ganged up and decided that they had defeated a *gasp* couple of kids. And they keep patting each other on the back for it. You can see that in their posts. I also saw some of them bragging about it in the SB.
Ahh, yes. The SB. This person used to frequent the SB, until they voiced an "unpopular opinion". Rachel is an admin at a blog traffic site that you and I may or may not use. You can read of her exploits with "the other" Carrie here.
Anyways, back to the SB. One day, I'm just chillin' in the SB, Tapeworm style, and i see this: (click the pics for a larger image)

Yes, the admin for this system is saying that. I admire that kind of professionalism.
Oh yeah, I started this post by trying to make a point. I was sick of hearing about what they did to 2 kids. I was blogsurfing, and just happened to come across that blog that definitely does talk way too much. The 4th post of them getting together and bashing people (much less than) half their age was too much for me. I said what I had to say (which you've already seen if you followed my links in the first place). Funny how I never mentioned a specific person. In fact, the first generalization I made can be applied to much of the blogosphere. Ok, I lied. The second one I made was directed at a specific person.
For some reason, Rachel decided to make this a matter that involved the blog service we have in common. She comes into the SB and announces "TicklesTapeworm what the hell is your problem?" I remember well what happened to buddhadharma, so I didn't let Rachel goad me into getting myself banned. I replied with something close to "lol, yeah, this is the best forum to discuss that. I don't have email or my own blog or anything". She really had no choice but to agree with me. Still, she had to be right, and insisted that I had brought up that comment I made in the SB (the closest I came to that was mentioning that I might have some new "friends" that night, which proved to be true ;) ).
I wanted to see if I had done anything wrong, and wanted to protect myself from getting into trouble in the future. I had simply asked for a link to see the Terms of Service, because I wasn't able to find it from the main page. This is the response I get:

So, first she threatens me and ends it with a smiley, insults me, and then lectures someone for stereotyping others. This is definitely a woman I want running my services.
Then, back at that blog that talks way too much, I see that they've decided to bring my girlfriend into it. And they're calling me gay. These gals just ooze maturity.
Remember how Rachel said she was going to stop people from winning any blog battles? She wasn't kidding.

Hmm. web divas, cherry, toomuch, biologisvensk. All of Rachel's little pals. I find it somewhat fishy that Rachel, cherry, toomuch and web divas hadn't voted in any of the previous blog battles, and they didn't vote in any battles afterwards either. It's just too bad that toomuch wasn't bright enough to vote for the right person, and inadvertently caused that beautiful blogger Carrie (my Carrie) to win. You know you suck when you can't even cheat right.
Oddly enough, I saw people from AZ, NV, and NJ on mine and Carrie's blogs for much of the evening. I have no idea what the person from NJ is lurking here for, because I really didn't include them in the comment I made at that talky blog. They were involved in the initial incident, but at least had the good sense to blog about something besides talking down to kids.
It gets better.
Sometime around 8:30 PM PST, someone managed to get Carrie's blog password, logged into her account, and deleted her blog. It just so happens that Carrie's blog password *used to be* the same as the one she used on the aforementioned blog service. It also just so happens that an admin with access to Carrie's info was mad at me (or us). I'll let you do the math on that one yourself. I find it odd that someone from AZ was the last person on her blog before it got deleted...
By the way, you may notice that Carrie's blog is up. Thank god for backed up posts.
So I go back to the SB to kill time while Carrie fixes the blog. You can see the events that transpired in the following photos.

See? Not everyone in the SB hates me. Or do they...

I love how she throws that figure at me. And how many of those 35,000 are SB regulars? I know bandy and PureMood are...
And this is pretty much where we're at now. I haven't been suspended yet, nor do I care to be. I like this blog service, but one of their admins is making my experience less than enjoyable. I plan to re-enter the battles with this post. Hopefully I can open up someone else's eyes.
You might ask "Tickles, why don't you just report it to the blog service?" Well, I'll tell you why. It doesn't do much good to complain when the person you're complaining about handles the complaints. :D
EDIT: It has since come to my attention that Rachel says the day of the battle and final shoutbox threat she only logged in to approve blogs. Who entered her in the battle then? And who was that in the SB? I'd really like to know.

If she was only approving blogs that night, why was she spending so much time on Carrie's blog, through 2 browsers, right up until the point it went down/was deleted? Again, I'd like to know.

Gosh Tickles, that's such a huge turnoff about b.e. I frequent the site alot, it's been one of my favorites. I haven't been to the shoutbox, but will check it out now. But you've got it all right there & it's very disheartening.
I'm aware of what happened with Carrie (buddhakarma), she's a sweetheart & I couldn't believe how people were so mean to her. Nor can I believe the anger displayed towards you, had I not seen it myself.
Have you considered being an attorney? If not, you really should.
I'm glad your Carrie had all her blog backed up & I know that annoying IP thing you guys have always tell me MY IP # when I visit your sites! lol
It's too bad you can't write to Jeff himself, he seems like a very reasonable & honest gentleman. Hope you 2 don't have anymore problems, but glad you have it all documented.
Whoa! What drama!
Excellent post Tickle. You are a good web detective. Sorry you and Carrie are getting into it with the BE people. I like the service but that is so wrong what happened to Carries blog and it should not be over looked!
Person, not people.
* sulk * how could I miss all those action!!!!
Haha... lovely... well... i see you from Blog Advance every once in a while... lol... I quit BE... but they can do what they want, right?
BA~~4
PS: Deleting someones blog is a criminal offense... or it should be... fricking A!~
OK, you could have cut out that farm convo *LMAO* and let me know I was in an evidence clip (haha)
That's really too much... and I agree with Croaker up there.. that was not OK.
I had my own drama with BE and I'm sorry but that Rachel is doing more harm than good for BE.
After my run in with BE (feel free to read July archives in Lint), I'm very glad that the password used for BE was nothing like the password needed to get into Lint.
I hope this doesn't lead to your deactivation and I find it hilarious that Rachel got all her little friends to vote for her, yet when I voted for another writer's work in Club Lint under my own personal account, we were suspended for cheating.
Hypocritical assholes.

It seems quite a few people have had a run in with BE, I was banned and deactivated too, well no I deleted myself and told them to shove the politics up their ass ans quite frankly, I don't want to associate with individuals who think they own a monopoly.
There're a lot better services out there than BE and I'm using them :)
OMG Tickles! I haven't been able to talk to Carrie! My internet has been down since the big H. I bet this all happened last night and I wasn't around to see it all happen... I would have been involved, you know I would! I can't believe all the "drama" that goes on in the blogosphere.. It's kinda fun too, as long as you're on the right end of it all. In the MEAN time, we'll have to think of something >:)
I can't believe that BE is run by such idiotic ppl.
rachel is obviously totally ridiculous.
thanks for mentioning me.
looks like she's still up to her same old antics.
i'm personally glad to be free of Blog Expulsion.
it is ridiculous!!!
your post is very thorough! good job.
WTF! :o
Holy crap. I had no idea there were such people at BE, although I guess it's really just one. How shameful.
(Rachel) What a bitch.
I'm glad you got your blog back up, Carrie. Its one of the only blogs worth a damn to read.
Shannon
Seen what her latest post is about? Covering up your IP address. Looks like at least you've educated her.
http://www.bitchalicious.com/blog/index.php/weblog/common_internet_knowledge_101/
What a drama esp show..
Anyway, what i will do is dupe a false IP adress and either you are in the Blog Expoded thing or out..
my old blog had been ban once..
I really do not know why??
...and now you know why I (and a lot of the other people who used to be SB regs) stopped going to the BE SB altogether. I already graduated from junior high. Besides, I grew weary of the drama some seem to thrive on and perpetuate. Sad. :(
...sigh
I'm incredibly shocked by this post. Rachel's threat certainly does come across as unprofessional. In her position she should not even joke about things like that. My impression is also that she has baited persons into responding in a manner to get themselves banned.
I hope you are having this blog deletion investigated. Password theft is a serious matter, if that is indeed what happened here.
wWait what did I miss Tickles what's going on with Carrie's blog? I sort of took a blog sabbatical. lol
Ummm about the slipknot comment.. I haven't quite gotten into that yet I'm on Electric Six, Madonna, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, and Bad Company right now. I have no idea what the hell's going on. Madonna????
That's why I avoid the SB. When I first joined BE, I lurked the SB for a while. Seemed like it was always full of drama. Bunch of people who never left Jr High (I'm not saying EVERYONE who uses the SB is like this, so please don't take offense if the description doesn't fit you).
I read about Carrie's battle with Rachel on her blog, and was amazed at how completely childish and unprofessional things got. Someone's on a serious power trip, and from the sounds of it, it's gotten worse.
And I agree with what others have said . . . look into legal recourse, because hacking someone else's site IS a federal crime, and it sounds like you've got a decent amount of evidence.
I've found some good blogs through BE, and had some fun people find me through it. I'll will keep using it for that, but will leave the drama of the SB to those who want it.
woa someone hacked her in a blog battle? What a loser...
That Rachel is a REAL nutcase. It's just blogs and blog designing, really, but it's her "business" and I can't believe she is so unprofessional. She designs a blog for someone and then at a later date, goes back and totally makes fun of their content and LINKS right to it from her blog!
Of course if you read through B.E.'s rules and stuff it's hilarious; FULL of spelling and grammar errors, not to mention ridiculous demands.
Interesting observation: you can no longer check who voted on the battle of the blogs. Anyone else find it coincidental that this change occurred not long after accusations of vote-stacking?
I don't think that bitch should have the power to delete blogs. I've always hated that stupid self-richeous cunt.
I couldn't believe it when I saw she was made a BE admin. How disapointing.
Technically that could be classed as spamming Tickles... however I side with you.
I'm getting fed up with BE, and get a friendlier convo about blogging over IRC on irc://irc.wyldryde.org/#blogshares
captainjeff - I think it was a criminal offense. I'm just waiting to hear back about some physical evidence.
PureMood - Sorry, I wanted to show that my screencaps werent cut or edited.
Deb - The rules only apply when it suits their needs.
Anon #1 - I'd love to hear your story in more detail...
Danielle - Believe it.
Other Carrie - You're welcome and thanks. :)
diana - I thought the same thing myself.
arethusa - I came to discover it was more than just one.
shannon - glad you like carries blog :P
fruey - interesting indeed...
胡 剑 秋 - I'm really not sure what you mean, but you sound like you're on my side of things. :)
kirk - there were (are) a lot of cool people in the SB too. The experience was only soured by a few.
indererminacy - you're pretty damn sharp.
freak - if you read this post, youll see carries blog was maliciously deleted. Im sorry, I can't help you with your Madonna problem.
phil - yeah, sucks people are getting pushed away from the SB and BE in general because the staff doesnt know how to act.
freak - glad you read the post before commenting :P
Anon #2 - I cant see how those ethics can be profitable. Very Unprofessional.
Anon #3 - I think that they were probably going to do that anyway. I wouldn't discount these events speeding up the process though.
shutuped - I never saw why this whole thing had to be a personal issue with her, or what BE had to do with it. I wanted to handle this privately, but I don't think she will speak in any venue she doesn't have control over.
J Anderson- My songs were all around 2 minutes long. I don't really consider 3 shouts in 5 or 6 minutes to be spamming, especially since the BE TOS only covers advertising blogs and links as spam in the shoutbox. and thanks for the irc link. been waiting to hear about blog irc. Watch what you say about BE ;)
Not like it really matters anymore anyway. Sorry I took so long to reply to you all. I didn't want to comment on this until it had been resolved. Being deleted over this post was the closest thing to resolution I got.
And now I've been banned from BE...for writing about BlogMad!! It's interesting when you start searching to see how many people have had problems with BE.
(shaking my head)
I was looking for dirt on these ITalk2Much self proclaimed "bitches" and jeez ... look what I found here. My head hurts now after reading all of this drama.
Kudos to you, Tickles, for standing up for your rights, and doing so with class.
This Rachel chick, (aka Miss Chatty @ ITalk2Much) sounds like a real loser. Her blogmate Donna, (aka Bitter Bitch @ ITalk2Much), is a real piece of work too.
I wish you all the best, Tickles ...
Excellent post Tickles, you seem to have covered everything!
Good luck in the future with this, ;o)
